Samuel the Lamanite Role-Play
We taught a Family Home Evening for some investigators and we divided them into groups and gave them Book of Mormon stories to read then present in whichever creative way they could think of. One group was given Samuel the Lamanite. We somehow convinced them to present the story by acting it out haha...well, it was pretty hilarious. One of them was Samuel the Lamanite and was "preaching the gospel" and the others started arguing with him over doctrine. So it turned into a missionary argument/Bible Bash between them....but don't worry they were all having joking around so there was no contention.

Charismatic Sons!
We were teaching a family. They have two sons who have more charisma than anyone I've ever met. The youngest son says the cutest prayers. He prayed that we'd all behave so Santa would come we wouldn't have to go "down there to live with the devil." Last week, he prayed that he'd behave so he could go to Computer Lab on Wednesday at school. We were telling him the story of Samuel the Lamanite recently. We said that it happened over 2000 years ago. The older son - completely serious, I mean not sarcastically at all - said, "2000 years ago? Like when you were little mom?" Haha I laughed so hard! :)

"...We Have Some Bibles!"
We met a family with two little kids. After introducing ourselves and talking a little with the parents, we began to tell the kids Book of Mormon stories. We told the story about Samuel the Lamanite and when Christ came to the Americas. The kids we so engrossed in the stories it was adorable. When it was time to leave, the kids were sad because they wanted to hear more. We wanted to leave them with a Book of Mormon, but we didn't have any more copies in Spanish. Then son then said, "Oh wait, we have some Bibles!" He went to the back of the truck and pulled out two copies of the Book of Mormon. Apparently, they had been taught by the missionaries before, so we left them with some stories to read and will be going back sometime later this week
